Easy Ideas For Holiday Bathroom Decor

Updated: Dec 8, 2022

While we like to hope that your holiday guests don’t need to spend TOO much time in your bathroom, there’s a chance that they’ll use it at least once on their visit. Impress them with your holiday bathroom decor with these simple decoration ideas.

Holiday Decor Ideas

Xmas lights: Hang a small string of Christmas lights in your bathroom. Perhaps around the crown molding, or around your vanity. They may be bright enough that guests don’t need to turn on the light.

Garland: Garland is a great prop for your holiday bathroom decor. A wreath on the door, wrapped around your countertops, makes a bathroom feel a little fresher. If you use fresh garland, be sure to make sure pick it as fresh as possible so it doesn’t wilt or dry up before your guests arrive.

Fresh holly leaves: Do you have a holly bush in your backyard? Take a few clippings, be sure to include those plump red berries, and place them in your bathroom, you could even hang them from a hook on the wall for added dimension to your space.

A holiday-scented candle: Let’s face it, the bathroom isn’t exactly known as the most beautifully fragrant room in the home, but it can be with a beautiful holiday scented candle or heated wax melt. Look for scents like Christmas berry, apple pie, gingerbread, cinnamon, fresh pine, or crisp snow.

Window decals: Accent windows or mirrors with a couple of window decals. Snowflakes are an elegant choice, but go with whatever holiday images you like. If you have kids, this is a great way to get them involved by letting them put the decals on.

Scented Soap: Buy special holiday scented hand soap for your bathroom this holiday season. Our sense of smell is one of our most powerful senses and can bring back so many childhood memories. I wonder what childhood memories “sugar cookie” scented soap will bring back for your guests.

When planning your holiday bathroom decor, just remember not to go overboard. Choose one or two favourite decorations and make sure to keep those countertops clear of clutter and excess decorations.

From our family to yours we wish you a merry holiday and a happy new year!
